Jonas Hellborg, renowned for his ground breaking work with musical icons like John McLaughlin, Shawn Lane, and Ginger Baker, has a deep-rooted passion for redefining musical equipment. With Dogal Hellborg strings, he tackles a fundamental issue: standard bass strings have traditionally been upscaled versions of guitar strings, which can limit flexibility, tone, and intonation on bass guitars. Drawing on Dogal’s long-standing expertise in classical instrument strings, Hellborg worked closely with the Dogal team to create a set of bass strings uniquely suited to the instrument’s specific needs.
