A superb hand crafted P style 5 string bass from Andrea Capurso at Capurso Guitars, Brindisi, Italy.
This bass was shown at the recent 2026 guitar and bass show in Birmingham, so we are offering it a special ‘ex-show’ discounted price, albeit it was only played by a few show goers…you may recognise a couple of these guys in our pictures, thanks to the great Jonny Dibble and Matt Parker.

Andrea and the guys at Capurso don’t take the view that this is a ‘relic’ bass. In fact, in their own words ‘It’s not a relic, it’s just a play of colours, it’s an artistic expression that makes each instrument unique’. We like that angle of thinking here, it’s not a new bass trying to look old, rather, it’s a new bass with it’s very own style and character. A P bass with all the organic tone that you would expect but with the supercharged addition of the superb Xander two way boost which really adds some additional muscle and bite to the tone. The playability of this bass is also really outstanding, when you pick up a truly handmade bass you really can feel the difference!
