Capurso Spiral 4 Vintage
A superb hand crafted J style bass from Andrea Capurso at Capurso Guitars, Brindisi, Italy.
This bass was shown at the recent 2026 guitar and bass show in Birmingham, so we are offering it a special ‘ex-show’ discounted price, albeit it was only played by a few show goers…you may recognise a couple of these guys in our pictures, thanks to the great Jonny Dibble and Dean Mark.
So a really great chance to own one of these superb hand crafted Italian basses at a really great price!
Our thoughts…
This is genuinely one of the nicest ‘super J’ type basses we have ever seen, heard and played! It’s a great weight and being truly handmade feels superb and super high quality in the hands. The tones from this bass are really stunning, all the single coil vibe you could wish for plus some supercharged additions from the excellent Xander boost only EQ preamp. The preamps on these Capurso Spiral basses are really very nice indeed, boost only on treble and bass controls with an option to cut mids at three key frequencies on toggle switches in the control cavity. The bass is also really playable as soon as you engage with it too!
A great feature of this bass is that only the body is relic’d, the neck is super glossy and feels absolutely amazing to play.
If you are in the market for a super playable J type bass with a relic vibe and a great range of tones, come along to see us and try it out!
